Some of us have come so far in trying to be as
moral as our religion dictates us to be and are
terrified at the thought of falling out of the
Grace of our Creator. Then there are some who are
holiday church goers, young teenagers, living in
fear of being hated by a Being they don't even
understand. Basically it boils down to a simple
question. Countless teenagers have wondered if
their Lord will abandon them because of their
sexuality, or because of the person they love. I
am here to try and bring some peace and comfort
to those who are fighting an inner battle for
acceptance. To many, acceptance from one's God is
worth more than the acceptance of a parent,
brother, friend or society. "Will God hate me
because I'm Gay?"
There is not one... NOT ONE SINGLE LINE in the
whole Bible, including the apocryphies that
states homosexuality is a sin. There are 5 lines
that refer to homosexual acts as being sinful.
And for everyone of those lines there are at
least 100 that speak of heterosexual actions that
are sinful (i.e. adultery, masturbation, rape,
lust, etc.).
You have heard that it was said, "Do not commit
adultery." But I tell you, "Anyone who looks on a
woman for the purpose of lust, in his heart, has
committed adultery already." Matthew 5:27, 28
So if you want to get down to the smallest
details... everyone sins sexually (we already
know everyone sins in general, but now we can be
alot more specific). So according to some Right
Wing Conservative Christians, if all gays are
hated by God, so are all those who are
heterosexual sinners. That statement is far from
the truth!
There are many who would like to justify the
statement, "God hates fags" by saying Homosexuals
choose to live in sin. Well, by that statement,
all those who are divorced and remarried, "whack-
off" constantly, and have sex outside of marriage
are living by sin and hated by God. Again, a
statement far from the truth. Is throwing around
your sexuality aimlessly a sin... the Church says
so, but will it cause God to hate you? No, and
the church will tell you that. How can we be sure
God does not hate us? Well I have put this
evidence together by the following study:
God gave up the life of His only son to save us.
It was said in the bible, "Whatever you do to the
least of your brethren, you do to Me" and
finally "Do unto others as you would have them do
unto you."
With this said, we should know that no truly
religious person should hate or condemn anyone.
That our sexuality is not our choice, and that if
what God said is true, "My Grace unto you can be
seen in any form of true love between humankind"
then whatever way we express love (whether it be
for family, friend, or lover) then we are
depicting the love God has given us. However, in
knowing that being Gay will not cause God to hate
us and that God will always forgive us if we are
truly sorry, we must also accept you can't be a
real Christian and live in constant sin (having
crazy sex every night with a different person).
That is just not the Christian way of life. Have
some respect for the sexuality you have been
given, and don't abuse the fact that God will
always love you and forgive you.
